Your Basic Southern Peas:)

Ingredients

Instructions

Make sure your peas are cleaned and sorted.

In a large sauce pan, fry your bacon or ham hocks just a little to get the juices (and grease) flowing.

Add all your ingrediants and bring to a boil. Turn the heat down and simmer (uncovered) for at least 2 hours.

Serve with hot, buttered cornbread:)
