Wilted Lettuce Salad II
Ingredients
- 4 slices bacon, diced
- 1/4 c vinegar
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 1 large bunch leaf lettuce, torn into pieces
- 5 green onions with tops, chopped
Instructions
Fry bacon until crisp. Remove bacon from grease and set aside. Add vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper to bacon drippings. Tear lettuce into large mixing bowl, and add onion. Heat vinegar mixture to boiling. Pour over lettuce, tossing as you pour. Turn skillet upside down over bowl. Let set 5 minutes. Add bacon and serve immediately.
