Vintage Fruit Marshmallow Whip (1940)

Cut marshmallows into small pieces and put them in a bowl. Pour fruit juice over mashmallows and set in a cold place for 2 hours. By this time the marshmallows will soak up the juice and will be soft and luscious. Whip cream til very stiff. Add sugar and soak marshmallows. Serve very cold in small glasses. Add a candied cherry or nut meat for garnish if desired. This will serve six large or eight smaller dishes.
