Tomato Pie

Bake pie crust but do not brown. Cool completely.
Cut and drain tomatoes.
Layer tomatoes in pie crust - salt and pepper. Saute onion in olive oil. Spread over tomatoes. Crumble basil over vegetables. Top with mixture of grated cheddar cheese and mayonnaise. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes.
