Spicy Tomato Bread
Ingredients
- 2 T cornmeal, if desired
- 2 cans (10 biscuits each) Pillsbury Buttermilk or Country Style Biscuits
- 8-oz can seasoned tomato sauce or 1 cup pizza sauce
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp leaf oregano
Instructions
Heat oven to 375(F). Sprinkle 1 T. cornmeal over bottom of each of the two 8 inch round cake pans. Separate dough into 20 biscuits. Pat about 10 biscuits in bottom of each prepared cake pan. Spreadk 1/2 cup of tomato sauce over biscuits in each pan. Sprinkle each with 2 T cheese and 1/2 tsp oregano. Bake at 375(F) for 15 to 18 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown. Cut into wedges and serve warm.
