Speedy Yeast Rolls

Ingredients

  • 2 cups warm water (110*)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 pkgs. yeast (4-5 tsps.)
  • Combine and let sit 20-30 min.
  • ******
  • Add 1 beaten egg
  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 4-6 cups all purpose floor

Instructions

Roll out and cut like biscuits and put onto two greased cake pans. Brush melted butter on top. Let rise 30-40 min.

Bake at 400 * for 15 min. or more. Depending on how brown you like them.

Makes 2 dozen. May be frozen after baking
