This recipe is from another clipping in Great Grandma Fry's recipe book. There isn't a date but on the back of this clipping, there are adverstisements for:
Hose, 6prs. $1
Men's shoes $2.65. All of fine calfskin with sturdy soles and insoles. Pointed, narrow, custom, French and round toes. :)
Here is the recipe as written:
Choose round steak cut one inch or more thick. Dredge heavily with flour and pound with edge of a saucer until all flour is absorbed. Season and brown in bacon fat or meat drippings. Cover with a can of tomato soup, add slices of onion and rings of green peppers. Cover and simmer for one to one and a half hours. Serve in sauce.
