My kids love Meatloaf !!

Ingredients

Instructions

Preheat oven to 400 F

Put ground beef into a large mixing bowl. Season well with salt (to your taste), garlic powder, pepper and season all.
Mix

Add eggs, onion, oatmeal (or other substitute), mustard, ketchup, some A1 and Worcestershire Sauce. Mix well. I find it works best if I use my hands and not a spoon to do this.

In a casserole dish, shape your meatloaf accordingly --like a football:)(leaving room on the sides) Poke several finger holes all the way through your meatloaf (all the way to the bottom). I usually do 3 across in rows all the way down. But that's just me.

In a bowl, mix 2 cups of (or more if you like) of ketchup with 1 cup of brown sugar. Taste--it should be sweet but not sickeningly sweet. Spread generously over the meat loaf.

Place meatloaf dish on a cookie sheet and place in the oven to bake. Bake for about 45 minutes. Just watch to make sure the top doesn't burn. Ovens work so differently--my mother's cooks supper fast and burns things in a flash if you aren't careful.

After you take it out, let it set up for about 5 - 10 minutes before you serve.

Enjoy!:)

My kids love this meatloaf. I mean literally get excited when we are having it. They actually ask for it as their 'birthday supper':) You can add other things if you like, for example onions, bell pepper, whathaveyou.
I always serve cheesey potatoes (Au Gratin) and a salad with this. Hope your family enjoys it as much as mine does:)
