Hot fudge cake

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsps. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 4 tbls. cocoa
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 1/2 tsps. vanilla
  • 1/2 cup granulated (white) sugar
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups hot water

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large mixing bowl, mix flour, baking powder and salt with 3 tablespoons cocoa and 3/4 cup sugar
Blend in milk, butter and vanilla and beat until smooth.
Pour into a 9x9x2-inch baking pan.
Mix 1/2 cup white sugar with 1/2 cup light brown sugar and remaining tablespoon of cocoa and sprinkle mixture over batter in baking pan.
Pour hot water on top and don't stir.
Bake 40 minutes until center is almost set. Let cool 15 minutes, then serve.
