Hot Buttered Rumless

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup margarine or butter, softened
  • 1/4 tsp finely shredded lemon peel
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground allspice
  • 5 cups Martinelli's Apple Juice or Cider
  • 10 tsp rum extract
  • Cinnamon sticks

Instructions

Procedure: For butter mixture, mix first 5 ingredients in a small mixing bowl until well combined. For each serving, place 1 rounded tablespoon of butter mixture in coffee mug. Bring cider to a boil, then pour into mugs. Add 1 tsp rum extract to each. Stir well. Garnish with a cinnamon stick.

Yield: 10 servings
