Ham Chowder

Ingredients

  • 4 large carrots-diced
  • 4 stalks celery-diced.
  • 4 large potatoes-chopped.
  • 1 small onion.
  • 2-3 cups diced ham.
  • 2 TBS butter
  • 6 TBS flour.
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

In a large stock pot, cook vegetables till tender in water. Add ham, butter, s&p. Blend flour into milk smoothly. stir into soup, heat stirring constantly, until it boils. Turn heat to low and allow to simmer partially covered, 10-20 minutes to develop flavor.
