Ham Chowder
Ingredients
- 4 large carrots-diced
- 4 stalks celery-diced.
- 4 large potatoes-chopped.
- 1 small onion.
- 2-3 cups diced ham.
- 2 TBS butter
- 6 TBS flour.
- 2 1/2 cups milk
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
In a large stock pot, cook vegetables till tender in water. Add ham, butter, s&p. Blend flour into milk smoothly. stir into soup, heat stirring constantly, until it boils. Turn heat to low and allow to simmer partially covered, 10-20 minutes to develop flavor.
