Ham and Corn Dumplings
Ingredients
Instructions
1. Boil ham until real tender. Add 1/2 cup of the chopped green onions. You need to retain some of the water the ham is boiled in to make about 3 cups broth. Season with salt and pepper.
2. Make dumplings by mixing cornmeal, salt, pepper, baking powder and remaining green onions. Add enough of the seasoned broth about 11/2 cups to make a stiff dough.
3. Bring remaining broth to a boil, drop spoonfuls of corn dumplings into the boiling broth and simmer for 10 minutes.
