Green Onion Parker House Biscuits
Ingredients
- 1 (5.2-oz.) container boursin cheese with garlic and fine herbs
- 1/4 cup sliced green onions
- 1 (12-oz.) pkg. (10) refrigerator biscuits (such as Pillsbury Golden Layers Buttermilk & Egg Biscuits)
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tbl. water
- 2 tbls. grated Parmesan cheese
- Sliced green onion
Instructions
Makes 15 biscuits. Recipe from Better Homes and Gardens Holiday Appetizer Magazine.
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Lightly grease baking sheet. In a small bowl, stir together the boursin cheese and the 1/4 cup green onions. Set aside.
2. Unwrap biscuits. Using your fingers, gently split each biscuit horizontally into 3 disks. Place half of the biscuit pieces on the prepared baking sheet. Spread a scant 1 tablespoon of the cheese mixture over each. Top each with one of the remaining biscuit pieces.
3. In a small bowl, use a fork to beat together the egg yolk and water. Lightly brush biscuit tops with yolk mixture. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and additional sliced green onions.
4. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden. Serve warm.
