Ingredients

  • 2 cups yellow cornmeal
  • 1 1/2 tsps. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 4 tbls. vegetable oil

Instructions

Serves 4

1. Mix the dry ingredients, then add the milk and water and stir.

2. Pour the batter into the hot oil and allow a crust to form on the bottom before stirring.

3. Reduce heat to low and stir occasionally; cook for about 15 minutes.
