Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake
Ingredients
- 1 pkg (18 1/2 oz) devil's food cake mix
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup creamy or super chunk peanut butter
- Creamy Peanut Butter Frosting *recipe to follow*
Instructions
Grease and floour bottom of 15 1/2 inch x 10 1/2 inch x 1 inch jellyroll pan. In large bowl with mixer at low speed, beat cake mix, eggs, water and peanut butter until blended. With mixer at medium speed, beat 2 minutes. Turn into prepared pan. Bake in 350 (F) oven 20 - 25 minutes or until cake tester inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely in pan or wire rack. Frost with Creamy Peanut Butter Frosting.
Makes about 35 (2x2 inch) squares.
Creamy Peanut Butter Frosting:
In large bowl with mixer at medium speed, beat 1 package (14oz) creamy white frosting mix, 3/4 cups creamy peanut butter and 1/4 cup hot water until blended. Add an additional 1/4 cup hot water and beat until smooth. Makes about 3 1/2 cups.
