Canadian Anne's Fruit Topped Almond Cream
Ingredients
Instructions
A good mix of slightly tarty fruits like: Strawberries, grapes, mandarin oranges, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries.
In one bowl, mix up the pudding with the milk. In the other, using a beater, whip the cream and almond extract until it forms stiff peaks. Fold pudding mixture and almond/cream mixture together and *chill 2 hours* (that's important).
Serve the cream in a dish, topped with the fruit mixture. Or serve the fruit topped with a dollop of the cream It looks really yummy either way and tastes even better. Make sure you give it a try, it's really really easy and it's probably the most popular dessert I've ever made.
**Special note, I have no idea why, but it's come to my attention that the almond cream mix also goes really well with rhubarb pie. Go figure.
Thanks Anne!:)
