Broiled Shrimp
Ingredients
- 3 lbs fresh shrimp
- 1 stick butter
- juice of 5 lemons
- peel of 1 lemon
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tsp garlic salt or 1 bud fresh garlic, crushed
Instructions
Shell, devein and butterfly fresh shrimp. Melt butter, add all juice of lemons and peel of one sliced fine. Let come to boil and pour over raw shrimp, that have been salted and peppered. Let marinate several hours in the refrigerator. A teaspoon of garlic salt may be added if desired, or a bud of fresh garlic, crushed.
Place in large shallow pan, using all of the marinade, and cook in a hot oven, 375(F) for about 10 minutes. put under broiler and let brown. Watch them, for they will brown quickly. Turn off broiler and continue cooking in 325(F) oven until done.
