Bean Soup Gift Mix
Ingredients

- 2 TBSP pot barley
- 1/4 cup pinto beans
- 1/4 cup split peas
- 1/4 cup kidney beans
- 1/4 cup white beans
- 2 TBSP parsley
- 2 TBSP dried onions
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 TBSP powdered beef broth
Instructions
Putting the jar together:
Layer beans in a cool jar (with lid). Then wrap the spices in plastic and place on top of the last layer.
Cooking instructions (don't forget to include these with the jar! :) ):
Wash beans and soak overnight. Drain and top with 6 cups of water. Add spices and simmer until done. Add 1 can of tomato soup and 1 pound of fried and drained hamburger. Simmer a few more minutes. Add a little salt the last 5 minutes.
