Baked Beans
Ingredients
- 3/4 pound beans
- 1 cup catsup
- 1/2 cup tomatoes
- 1 tsp mustard
- 1/4 cup dark molasses
- 1/2 cup diced ham or bacon
Instructions
Cover beans with cold water and soak for 5 or 6 hours. Drain off water. Cover beans with clear cold water and bring to boiling point. Reduce fire and let simmer until beans can be washed between fingers. Turn beans into iron baking pot. Add mixture. Place in over and bake 8 hours adding water occasionally.
