Aunt Diane's Sweet Tea
Ingredients
Instructions
Place your tea bags in 2 cups of water and bring to a boil (either in the microwave or in a pot on the stove). Pour 1 cup of sugar into the milk jug and add some cool water (not a lot). Once your tea has come to a boil, pour it into the milk jug and put the top on. Shake vigorously. Now fill your milk jug up the rest of the way with cold water. The tea is better after it's sat a while in the refrigerator, so make this ahead of time:)
Enjoy!!
Growing up this was by far the best tea I've ever had. As sad as it might sound:), my brothers and I still look forward to Aunt Diane walking through the door of Momma's house with a gallon of her tea in hand:) Her children swear that the secret is the milk jug because it just doesn't taste the same made in a pitcher:)
